ADIHA seeks to create a community to nurture and foster fellowship among the Gerard Marc Memorial Scholarship recipients.
The ADIHA Executive Board has voted to expand the Gerard Marc Memorial Scholarship to award a scholarship to one high school graduate, one college student, and a post graduate student pursuing a STEM degree. ADIHA is still accepting applications for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Phoenix Project: Electric Power International (IEP), in partnership with the Haitian government has announced the signing of an agreement for a public-private partnership between the two parties in the building a power-generating facility that aims to remove waste from the streets of Port au Prince while decreasing the country’s dependence on foreign fuel. Haiti participated in a forum on electric companies from May 14 to 16, 2012. According to Secretary of State for Energy, Mr. René Jean Jumeau, the forum, organized by the American firm, “Kema Energy”, provided an opportunity to countries to benefit from the expertise of other electricity companies and to become acquainted with new technologies to develop the energy sector. The Secretary also noted that his office intends to embark on a process of forming new technicians through a partnership with the Institute “Global Energy Institute Model.”
A new organization, Hatian Diaspora Working in Haiti (HDWIH), a non-partisan Business Membership Association, was created in Haiti by a group of Haitian Americans to service the Haitian Diaspora returning to Haiti by supporting their efforts and needs during their transition period.
