Presentation to Homeowners: Better Building Construction Practices

ADIHA Team: Carl Sandra Ulysse, Janny Gedeon
Status: Active
As a result of the catastrophic impacts of the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, ADIHA began to conduct presentations to educate homeowners in the New York community on better construction practices in Haiti. The Haitian diaspora invests more than $35 million dollars a year in residential or commercial construction in Haiti. After the country suffered a loss of more than 200,000 lives and approximately $7 billion dollars in property damage, we felt that it was imperative to contribute in rebuilding a better and stronger Haiti.
